When reinforced concrete flexural members are subjected to normal section reinforcement, the fiber reinforced composites should be extended to the edges of the supports. The U shaped hoop (to the beam) or the horizontal bar (to the plate) should be set at the end of the fiber composite (including the truncation section) and the two sides of the concentrated load point.


The following anchorage measures should be taken when the fiber composite extends to the edge of the support and is still not satisfied with the length of the bonding extension: for the beam, no less than three U shaped hoops should be anchored uniformly within the extended length range, one of which should be set at the end of the extended length. The U type hoop is made of fiber composite material. The height of the U hoop should be the height of the beam, the flange or the cast-in-place floor should be extended to the bottom. The width of the U shaped hoop should not be less than 2/3 of the width of the reinforced fiber composite, and should not be less than 150mm; the middle hoop should not be less than the 1/2 with the width of the reinforced fiber composite strip, and should not be less than 100mm. The thickness of the U hoop shall not be less than that of the 1/2 fiber reinforced composite material.
