Carbon fiber reinforcement in hydrogen pipeline

Reinforcement technology of carbon fiber composite strengthening material(CFRP) is used to reinforce and retrofit the pipeline to improve the safety factor of hydrogen pipeline.

Project overview

A carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) fabric repair and reinforcement technology is developed to reinforce the buried 219 hydrogen pipeline on the northern side of Dongyue street, and enhance the safety factor of hydrogen transmission pipeline. Therefore, the section of the pipeline is located in the densely populated area, and the Party A is required to ensure that this reinforcement will not deal with the pipeline for a long time after the reinforcement.

Strengthening and retrofitting of pipeline

(1) the surface of the pipe is uniformly painted with a special primer. The use of special repair glue pipe sunken parts (honeycomb, surface voids, pores, damage etc.) patch formation, protruding parts repair to smooth over.

(2) brush the special resin adhesive, wrap the carbon fiber cloth on the first floor, brush the special resin glue together, repeat this 3 times (winding carbon fiber cloth one layer, brush the special resin glue together).

(3) after the reinforcement area is solidified, make the protective layer construction: brush the epoxy resin glue, spin the alkali free glass fiber cloth one layer, brush the epoxy resin glue together, repeat so 3 times (winding the alkali free glass fiber cloth one layer, brush the epoxy resin glue together).

(4) the sandbag pier should be shifted after completion of the above process, and the above process is supplementing the original pier. The next step must be before the paint is dry before construction, artificial antiseptic about three times than the normal time.
