Enlarging section reinforcement method 

Application:  Reinforcement for flexural and compressive members of reinforced concrete(RC) structures.

Requirements: the concrete strength grade determined by on-site inspection structure is not less than C10, and there is no upper limit for strength improvement.


Flexural member reinforcement:

  • Flexural members increase normal section tensile reinforcement (insufficient reinforcement of original section)

  • The section height of the flexural member is increased (the difference of bearing capacity of the original section is quite different).

  • The area of the compression area is increased (the strength of the original section concrete is low or the reinforcement is much).

  • The whole section of the flexural member is reinforced (both widened and heightened).

  • Strengthening of oblique section bearing capacity of flexural members (insufficient shear capacity or cross section)

  1. when the reinforced concrete layer is added in the tensile area, the U hoop and the original stirrup shall be welded one by one.

  2. when adding three sides of reinforced concrete and using anchor or rubber anchor stirrup
